چکیده

Abstract Background Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is the most used treatment strategy for patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) undergoing revascularization. Periprocedural Myocardial Infarction (PMI) still represents a frequent complication after PCI. Complex PCI procedures carry higher risk of adverse events. Despite several studies assessed incidence PMI, no data exist about rate PMI according to different definitions in complex Aims. This study aims evaluate chronic syndrome (CCS) complexity procedure and PMI. Independent predictors 4th Universal definition myocardial infarction (UDMI) were also investigated. Methods 1010 treated from 2017 2021 at Federico II University Hospital, Naples, Italy enrolled. was adjudicated by full trained cardiologists. Primary outcome interest 4thUDMI. Secondary outcomes rates available literature injury UDMI Academic Research Consortium –2 (ARC–2). Results Of patients, 226 underwent (22.4%). The primary significantly group compared non–complex (26.5% vs 14.5%, p<0.001). After multivariate adjustment, (OR 1.54, 95% CI: 1.04–2.27 p= 0.031), presence calcified lesions 2.05, 1.38–3.03 p<0.001) multivessel 2.94, 1.76–4.89 found be independently associated Conclusions Patients have an increased Multivessel disease, represent independent

Evaluation of ejection fraction in patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention

Introduction: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a reperfusion strategy to increase life expectancy and ejection fraction (EF) in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. We investigated the effect of location, severity, type of lesion, number and type of vessel involved and time of angioplasty on the increase in EF in STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI (P-PCI) a...

periprocedural hemoglobin changes and myocardial injury in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention

conclusion: post-procedure hemoglobin dropping may be considered as a predictor of cardiac adverse outcome in patients undergoing pci. we suggest that a good bleeding control during and after the procedure can reduce the risk of cardiac enzyme elevation post-procedurally. results: all categories divided by cardiac enzyme status either in positive or in negative groups were classified in non-ane...

Periprocedural Hemoglobin Changes and Myocardial Injury in Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

BACKGROUND Patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention are at serious risk of different complications such as periprocedural bleeding that can lead to myocardial injuries. Blood loss through puncture site hematoma formation and through catheter aspiration causes periprocedural hemoglobin drop. OBJECTIVES Although percutaneous coronary intervention is an effective treatment of coron...

Predictive Value of Aortic Valve Calcification for Periprocedural Myocardial Injury in Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

AIMS Previous studies have shown that aortic valve calcification (AVC) was associated with cardiovascular events and mortality. On the other hand, periprocedural myocardial injury (PMI) in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a well-known predictor of subsequent mortality and poor clinical outcomes. The purpose of the study was to assess the hypothesis that the presence of AVC could pred...

primary percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with acute myocardial infarction

background: primary percutaneous coronary intervention (primary pci) is the method of choice in establishing reperfusion in acute myocardial infarction (ami) patients. the aim of this study was to determine the success rate of primary pci in a university medical center in iran with a view to promoting it as a first-line therapy in patients with ami, especially in centers with established cathet...
